Professional Qualifications

Becoming a celebrant is not for the faint-hearted. Many people believe the course will be easy and they will quickly be able to complete it in time to marry their niece, or best friend or son. This is simply not the case. People also think that we overcharge and the price is ridiculous for a quick half an hour.
I can tell you, that the time I invested in becoming a celebrant, the time and money I invest in maintaining my registration, meeting my ongoing professional development requirements and ensuring I have Association membership is significant.
I received my Certificate IV in Celebrancy through Rose Training Australia.
The seven videos I had to submit of various ceremonies were produced by Blue Eagle Productions.
I then registered with the Registrar of Marriage Celebrants Marriage Law and Celebrants Section Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department and joined the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants.
I completed my OPD for 2018 with Australian Celebrations Training and registered my services at Easy Weddings.
I purchased my top of the range PA system through Bavas Music City.
I am able to register marriages online through:
- Qld Births, Deaths, Marriages and Divorces.
- NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
- Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria using the new Victorian Registry Online Information System.
